In 2026, our annual fundraiser for Living With Parkinson’s is taking on a powerful new direction. Coinciding with the end of International Women’s Week, an all-female team will be stepping out on an extraordinary challenge: walking 132km of the French Camino de Santiago – one of the world’s most historic pilgrimage routes, known for testing both resilience and spirit.

From 14–21 March 2026, we will walk for 8 days and 7 nights, not for ourselves, but for every family in Lanzarote living with the daily realities of Parkinson’s… and we’ll be doing it with purpose.

Why We Walk

Every kilometre we cover is a commitment to:

  • Raising awareness of Parkinson’s in our community

  • Providing short respite care for families and caregivers

  • Supporting wellbeing activities, workshops and seminars

  • Funding essential aids and equipment for those who need them most

Parkinson’s doesn’t just affect the person diagnosed; it affects families, routines, finances, confidence and independence. This walk is about lightening that load.

Every Donation Goes Directly to Support

Each team member is personally funding her own travel, food and accommodation, so 100% of donations and sponsorship go straight to Living With Parkinson’s Lanzarote.

How You Can Help

Whether it’s €5 or €500 – every contribution matters. Every step we take will be powered by the generosity of people who believe, like we do, that no one should face Parkinson’s alone. Together, we can turn 132km into real, tangible support for families right here in our community. Because when women walk with purpose, change follows.
